However, social media is not one-size-fits-all. Each platform has its rules and culture, from posting protocol, image size specifications, and so forth. Here are some tips for travel agencies to consider when posting on Facebook.

Tips to Post on Facebook Most of your existing and prospective clients are already on Facebook, so why not use it to promote your travel business. Do the following to create a Facebook community around your travel brand and generate conversations:

Post Magnificent Photos

They say a picture speaks a thousand words. Imagine what breathtaking and heartwarming images of fabulous destinations will do to inspire travel. Take your time to post only magnificent, spectacular photos to elicit oohs and aahs along with short story about that destination or tour.

Get the Conversations Going

Share advice and tips to establish your brand as an authority in matters travel. This way your existing and prospective clients will always pitch up at your travel agency page to get tips, ideas or simply advice concerning travel destination, routes and so forth.

Post polls

Post polls and ask questions to learn more about your members of your Facebook community. This way you will engage them as they interact with your page. It is also the cheapest way to conduct a poll to find out what people are looking for; emerging trends--what’s in, what’s out and so forth.

Use Facebook Ads

Take advantage of Facebook ads to market the exciting travel packages and offers that your travel agency is offering. List your services with possible prices to help your clients make a decision to save them time scouring through the internet for information. Promote your most popular posts so that more people see them.

Customize the Information you Post

Use targeted messages to reach your travel customers. This way, you can begin to shape their perception of your brand and they can begin to see what sets your brand apart.

Post Regularly

Be consistent in what you post so you can keep your clients engaged. Plan for regular times when you post pictures, and other relevant information to travel. Schedule your posts so that they appear on days and times when you have the most traffic.

Generate Specific Actions

Every post on your page should drive a specific action to generate different outcomes for your business. You can decide to promote travel to Malta for two weeks, followed by a different holiday destination for the next two weeks. You may decide to let your customers know of new routes, or changes in pricing to keep them informed and encourage them to book with you.

Acquire New Customers

Channel prospects to your site by targeting your adverts. You can cluster them by demographics, age, and gender to reach them with custom ads. Adverts can either appear in the News Feed, the right-hand side with Facebook Exchange, on the desktop and mobile apps, or the logout screen.

Happy Selling!
