What is CLIA ?

Established in 1975, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) is the world’s largest cruise industry trade association, providing a unified voice and leading authority of the global cruise community.  CLIA supports policies and practices that foster a safe, secure, healthy, and sustainable cruise ship environment and is dedicated to promoting the cruise travel experience.

What is a CLIA Number?

The CLIA Number is an ID number issued by Cruise Lines International Association. It’s a number for vendors to identify you as a seller of travel. You can't book travel as a travel agent without this number. The vendor recognizes the travel agency and its perks & benefits by CLIA number in the vendor's system. It works the same way as the ARC or IATA number, it’s just issued by another organization and has different barriers to entry & expenses associated with it.

Who Accepts CLIA?
